In November our Primary 6&7 children enjoyed participating in an Irish language and cultural heritage workshop ‘Our Shared Language’. They took part in a variety of games and fun interactive activities. The facilitators complimented the children on excellent manners and in their level of competency, knowledge and confidence in using Irish language.
They focused on local place names, surnames, links between Irish and othe languages and the influence of spoken English and Irish language in today’s modern world.
