Mrs. Lagan's First Week at St. Finlough's
Dear Parent/Guardian,
It is with great pleasure that I am writing my first correspondence to you, as Principal of St. Finlough’s, Sistrakeel.
It is a tremendous honour for me to be chosen to lead such a wonderful school with its long and proud history of education stretching back generations. I am well aware of the rich legacy which the school has inherited and intend to maintain and strengthen the school’s unique ethos.
I have been touched by the warm reception that I have received since taking up my new post on Monday morning. I have noted the special atmosphere that exists within the school; everyone works together in a spirit of unity and friendship. I fully intend to retain all of these unique attributes!
I wish to acknowledge the hard work and dedication of the outgoing Principal Mrs. Suzann Mc Cafferty. She has been a lovely person to get to know and she has made the transition seamless. I wish her well in her new role.
As you know challenging times lie ahead for all schools as we navigate our way through Covid. Safety and Well-Being will remain our top priority. I’m confident that the strong, secure relationships that exist between the school and its community will see us through to better times and indeed a bright future. I know and trust that you will continue to support the school and its hard working staff in whatever capacity you can.
Warmest regards,
Mrs. Louise Lagan
